Fitchburg State Athletics Compliance

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) requires all of its member institutions to administer its athletic programs in compliance with the rules and regulations of the NCAA. 

All student athletes at Fitchburg State University are obligated to abide by the NCAA, MASCAC, and University rules. The compliance officer will conduct an annual compliance meeting with each team at the beginning of their respective traditional seasons. This is a mandatory meeting for all student athletes.

In order to be eligible to practice and compete the following must be completed:

a)    Speak to the head coach and be added to the tryout roster

b)   Complete all necessary medical paperwork provided by head athletic trainer

c)    Register for at least 12 credit hours (full-time student) and meet all academic requirements

d)   Complete all necessary NCAA related paperwork provided by compliance officer

e)    Attend team compliance meeting prior to first competition
