Fitchburg State Field Hockey Game Day Central!

THE GAME: Fitchburg State is in search of its third conference victory of the season as it hosts the Lancers of Worcester State University in a Little East Conference match. The Lancers enter today’s contest with an overall record of 3-14 and a 1-9 mark in the LEC.

THE FALCONS:Today is senior day at Elliot Field and the Fitchburg State field hockey team would like to honor two seniors playing in their final regular season home game.

#1 Jamie Kelley has been a four-year record setter for the Fitchburg State field hockey squad. Throughout her career, Kelley has etched her name into the Falcons record books, ranking first all-time with 33 career assists, while ranking second all-time with 38 career goals and 109 points. This season, Jamie has continued her dominance of the Little East Conference, totaling a team-leading 43 points with 18 goals and seven assists. She was a member of the 2011 Little East All-Conference third team and remains just seven goals shy of the all-time single season mark of 25.

#13 Mary-Anne Goodsell has been a four-year member of the Fitchburg State field hockey team, serving a primary role in the Falcons backfield. Throughout her 60 game career, Goodsell has totaled eight points on three goals and two assists, while also recording four defensive saves. This season, Mary-Anne has tallied one score, while also posting a pair of defensive stops in ten appearances for the Falcons.

THE LANCERS: Worcester State is looking for its fourth victory of the season after dropping a 4-0 decision to Nichols College on Thursday evening.
