    Fitchburg, Mass. – Senior Galen Kerr picked up her third win of the season with seven strong innings of work in game two, to propel the Fitchburg State University softball team to a 2-1 win over visiting Plymouth State University to earn a split with the Panthers in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon at Coolidge Park. In game one Plymouth State hurler Caitlyn Miller earned her seventh win of the season leading the visitors to a 7-2 victory.

    Norton, MA --- Junior Kelsey Saucier (Worcester, MA) struck out nine in a one-hitter and sophomore Maddie Medina (Pelham, NH) launched the game-winning home run in game two as WPI and Fitchburg State each won a game in a non-conference softball doubleheader that was played Wednesday at Wheaton. The Engineers took the opener 8-0 in six and the Falcons claimed the second game 3-2.
