How It Happened

A pair of through balls from Janae Owens (Springfield, Mass.) and Kerri Morris (Marlborough, Mass.) on separate occasions, led O'Connell down the right wing where the speedy forward outmaneuvered the Curry netminder top shelf twice.

Just four minutes later Jules Petrucelli (Milford, Conn.) connected on a pass from Tayla Randall (Walpole, Mass.) for the brief 2-1 advantage for Curry.
