Abt Selected To NCAA DIII ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Third Team
Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State baseball senior Joseph Abt (Newbury, MA) was named to the 2026 NCAA DIII American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings All Region II Third Team as announced by the ABCA this afternoon.
Newbury, MA native collects second post-season accolade
Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State baseball senior Joseph Abt (Newbury, MA) was named to the 2026 NCAA DIII American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings All Region II Third Team as announced by the ABCA this afternoon.
Joseph concluded this past season, batting a team best .432 with a single season best 60 hits, ten doubles, two home runs, 30 RBI, 27 runs scored, 12 walks and 12 stolen bases. For his efforts, Abt was also named to the 2026 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) first team.
The Fitchburg State baseball team recently concluded their 2026 campaign with an overall record of 11-27 and an 8-16 mark with conference play.
