Nicholas Kuhlman

Bio

Nick joined the Falcons Strength & Conditioning staff in September 2025 and also serves as an Assistant Professor in the Exercise and Sport Science Department at Fitchburg State. He brings over a decade of experience in college athletic performance, previously serving as Director of Athletic Performance at the University of South Alabama, where he managed strength and conditioning and sport science operations across 16 Division I programs. He has also held coaching roles at West Texas A&M University, the University of Tennessee, Campbell University, and Longwood University, working with athletes in a wide range of NCAA sports.

Nick holds a Ph.D. in Nutritional Sciences with a focus in Performance Nutrition from the University of Connecticut, where he conducted clinical research on bone metabolism, inflammation, and recovery in endurance athletes. He also earned an M.S. in Sport and Exercise Science from West Texas A&M University, a B.S. in Biology from Hampden-Sydney College, and is currently pursuing an M.S. in Data Science from Eastern University. He is certified by the NSCA (CSCS), CSCCa (SCCC), and USAW (USAW-L1).
