FITCHBURG, Mass. – Freshman goaltender Brian McGrath (Worcester, Mass.) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Ice Hockey Goaltender of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Freshman goaltender Brian McGrath (Worcester, Mass.) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Ice Hockey Goaltender of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
The first-year Falcon earns his third weekly accolade of the season after registering 75 saves with a .915 save percentage in two games for the Green and Gold. McGrath stopped 43 shots in a 4-4 overtime draw with Worcester State on Saturday before adding 32 saves in a non-conference setback to Colby College on Sunday.
The Fitchburg State ice hockey team (10-6-3, 5-4-3 MASCAC) returns to action on Thursday as it travels to UMass Dartmouth to take on the Corsairs for a contest starting at 7:35 P.M.
