Women’s Track Places Seventh At 2026 Coast Guard Brown Bear Invite
Goba set program record in the 3000 meter with time of 10:20.46
New London, CT – The Fitchburg State University Women's Indoor Track & Field placed seventh overall at the 2026 Coast Guard Academy Brown Bear Invitational with a total of four points from the Gregory Field House.

How It Happened
At the 2026 River Hawk Invitational, hosted by UMass Lowell, senior Skye Goba (Norton, MA) led the way for the Falcons, placing 15th overall in the 3000 meter with a school record and DIII New England qualifying time of 10:20:46, while classmate Makany Camara (Lowell, MA) finished seventh in 60 meter hurdles with an All-New England qualifying time of 8.98 seconds and third overall in the high jump with an All-NE qualifying mark of 1.65 meters.
Junior Taylor Crout (Boise, ID) registered a sixth place effort in the weight throw with a toss of 12.89 meters.
At the 2026 Coast Guard Academy Winter Invitational, sophomore Arieyana Robinson (Worcester, MA) and newcomer Dehkontee Cooper (Haverhill, MA) placed 12th and 25th overall with times of 7.98 and 8.39 seconds in the 55 meter dash, while the 4x200 meter relay team of Robinson, senior Alanis Velez (Lowell, MA), junior Trishannah Scott (Fitchburg, MA) and junior Gwendolyn Connors (Ayer, MA) turned in a fifth place time of 1:59.08.
In the 200 meter, Robinson (19th), Connors (26th), junior Alexis Toste (Dracut, MA) (30th) and Cooper (31st) posted times of 30.01, 31.11, 31.21, 32.67 and 34.41 seconds, while in the 800 meter, Connors finished 21st overall with a time of 2:51.81. In the 400 meter, Scott and Toste finished 12th and 17th overall with times of 1:09.81 and 1:11.89.
In the field, freshman Maya Ortiz (Webster, MA) finished 18th overall in the shotput with a toss of 6.31 meters, while
