Women’s Cross Country Collects USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Award
Falcons boast cumulative team GPA of 3.17
FITCHBURG, Mass. – The Fitchburg State University Women's Cross Country team was recently honored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), earning the 2015 USTFCCCA Cross Country All-Academic Team Award.
A total of 207 women's cross country teams posted a cumulative team grade point average of 3.1 or higher during the 2015 fall semester, thereby earning the USTFCCCA Team Academic Award for the 2015 season. Under head coach, Jamie Aubuchon, Fitchburg State recorded a cumulative 3.17 Team GPA.
Members of the 2015 Fitchburg State women's cross country team included Molly Atkinson, Brittany Bernardini, Alyssa Cardoso, Taylor Deschenes, Bridget Diggins, Nicole Gaffney, Cassie Lavallee, Jessica Mangan, Kelly McCarthy, Grace Morrissey, Elizabeth Norman, Jenna Phelps, Alexis Podedworny, Shawna Ryan, Casey Taylor, Elizabeth Vrettos, Holly Wentworth and Sadie Zbikowski.
The Fitchburg State University women's cross country team concluded the 2015 season, competing in the 2015 NCAA DIII Regional Championship Meet, hosted by Connecticut College at Harkness State Park in mid-November.
