MASCAC Baseball All-Conference Teams Announced

Abt & Fonck Named To MASCAC All-Conference First Team

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State baseball senior Joseph Abt (Newbury, MA) and sophomore Tyler Fonck (Milford, CT) were selected to 2026 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) All-Conference first team as announced by the conference office on Wednesday.

Abt collected his second All-Conference honor after batting a team-best .417 with 60 hits, ten doubles, two home runs, 27 runs scored, 30 RBI, 12 walks and 12 stolen bases over 38 games for the Green and Gold.

Fonck notched his first All-Conference accolade after hitting .331 with 43 hits, five doubles, three triples, two home runs, 23 runs scored, a team-best 32 RBI, 12 walks and ten stolen bases over 37 contests for the Falcons.

The Fitchburg State baseball team recently concluded their 2026 campaign with an overall record of 11-27 and an 8-16 clip within conference play.
