HOW IT HAPPENED:
- This game was neck and neck throughout the entire contest. Overall, there were 16 lead changes and 14 ties. The largest lead for either team came right at the beginning of the contest when the Falcons went on a 9-1 run to open up the first half. UMass would rally back and even take a slight lead during the first half before Fitchburg took a 33-32 lead into the break.
- The last 36 seconds of the game had just two baskets scored. Both were by Jalen Jackson (San Antonio, TX), who came up clutch again with a tying layup, then a winning layup with just one second to go. Jackson racked up a team-high 20 points and 11 rebounds to give him another double-double. Jeremiah Simeon (Norwalk, CT) also contributed big in tonight's game with 15 points and eight rebounds.
- The Beacons had the game's best scorer in Raphel Laurent, who scored 25 points with four rebounds and three steals. Cameron Perkins had the next highest score total with 11 points and six rebounds.
