Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior Brian McGrath (Worcester, Mass.) was recently tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Ice Hockey Goaltender of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday.

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior Brian McGrath (Worcester, Mass.) was recently tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Ice Hockey Goaltender of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday.
The fourth-year Falcon earns his second weekly honor of the season after registering 91 saves with a .938 save percentage and a 2.00 goals against average in a 3-0 week for the Falcons. McGrath stopped all 51 shots he faced in a 4-0 shutout victory against Plymouth State on Tuesday before adding 17 saves in a 6-3 win over Salem State on Tuesday.
The senior netminder concluded the week with a 23 save performance in a 6-3 triumph over Westfield State on Saturday.
The Fitchburg State ice hockey team (9-4-0, 7-2-0 MASCAC) returns to action tomorrow as they host the Rams of Framingham State in MASCAC action, starting at 3:30 PM.
