How It Happened

Fitchburg State took the lead 23:18 mark as junior Marckdonard Bastien (Worcester, Mass./Worcester North) took a feed from classmate Larry Janvier (Milton, Mass./Curry College) and deposited the ball inside the far post for his first score of the season for the 1-0 advantage.

The Bison grabbed the lead in the 28th minute of action as newcomer Evan Lemoine (Rutland, Mass./Wachusett Regional) settled a corner kick off the foot of Jonathan Ingram (Belchertown, Mass./Belchertown) and headed the ball into the upper right corner of the net for his fifth goal of the 2018 campaign to make the score 2-1 going into the break.

Following the intermission, the Falcons knotted the score (2-2) when freshman John Javaloyes (Newton, Mass./Newton South) slipped a shot inside the near post for his third goal of the season.
