Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior Eric Shimiyimana (Worcester. Mass.) was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior Eric Shimiyimana (Worcester. Mass.) was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
The fourth-year Falcon earned his seventh weekly accolade of the year after placing fourth overall in the triple jump with a mark of 13.78 meters to earn All-DIII NE honors for the Green and Gold at the 2023 DIII New England Championships at the New Balance Track over the weekend.
The Fitchburg State Men's Indoor Track and Field team returns to action this weekend as select members await a possible bid into the 2023 NCAA DIII National Championships.
