Manyok Named MOTK Track Athlete of the Week

Lynn, Mass. native registers first weekly honor of the year 

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State junior Taban Manyok (Lynn, Mass.) was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

The third-year Falcon nets his first weekly accolade on the season after earning top honors in the 3000 meter steeple chase with a DIII New England qualifying time of 9:41.38, while adding a first place time of 1:58.52 in the 800 meter. In addition, Taban guided the 4x400 meter relay team to a second place time of 3:36.37 for the Green and Gold at the 2023 Jim Sheehan Invitational on Saturday.

The Fitchburg State Men's Outdoor Track and Field team returns to action next weekend as they compete at the 2023 Silfen Invite, hosted by Connecticut College.
