Bourassa Collects MASCAC MOTK Rookie And Field Athlete Of The Week Honors

Shirley, Mass. native picks up fifth weekly honor of the year 

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman Liam Bourassa (Shirley, Mass.) was recently named both Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Outdoor Track Rookie and Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

The first-year Falcon earns his fourth and fifth weekly accolades on the season after placing fourth overall in the javelin with a personal best throw of 62.61 meters for the Falcons to earn All-NEICAAA honors at the 2023 New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Championships this past weekend, hosted by Northeastern University.

The Fitchburg State Men's Outdoor Track and Field team returns to on Thursday as select members compete at the 2023 MIT Last Chance qualifier meet, starting at 2:00PM.
