Manyok Sweeps MASCAC MXC Weekly Awards

Lynn, Mass. native collects second straight weekly accolades of the season 

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State sophomore Taban Manyok (Lynn, Mass.) was recently selected both Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country Runner & Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

The first-year Falcon continued his strong 2021 season after placing 15th overall at the 2021 UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday afternoon with a time of 25:03 over the 8K course to lead the Green and Gold to a 22nd place finish at the meet.

The Fitchburg State Men's Cross Country team returns to action this Saturday as they compete in the 2021 Purple Valley Invitational, hosted by Williams College, starting at 12:00 PM.
