Guevara Mateo Named USTFCCCA East Region Male Athlete Of The Year
NEW ORLEANS, LA. – Fitchburg State freshman Paulino Guevara Mateo (Cambridge, MA) was recently tabbed U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) East Region Male Athlete of the Year as announced by the USTFCCCA on Tuesday.
Cambridge, MA. native takes home another post season accolade
NEW ORLEANS, LA. – Fitchburg State freshman Paulino Guevara Mateo (Cambridge, MA) was recently tabbed U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) East Region Male Athlete of the Year as announced by the USTFCCCA on Tuesday.
The first year Falcon recently won the individual title at the 2025 NCAA DIII East Regional Championships with a first time of 24:31.6 over the 8K layout on Saturday, November 15th at the Hopkinton Fairground before finishing 79th overall at the 2025 NCAA DIII Men's Cross Country Championships with a time of 25:07.4 at the Roger Millikin Cross Country Course, hosted by Converse University this past Saturday.
Award winners were determined by a vote of the USTFCCCA member coaches.
The Fitchburg State Men's Cross Country team recently concluded its 2025 campaign at the 2025 NCAA DIII Men's Cross Country National Championships on Saturday, November 22nd.
