Dawkins Earns Defensive Player and Rookie of the Week Honors

FITCHBURG, MA: Fitchburg State freshman Madison Dawkins (Haverhill, MA) was named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Defensive Player and Rookie of the Week. 

Dawkins was a wall in net for the Falcons this past week. Her 19 saves against Suffolk University gave the Falcons a chance late in the 2-1 setback. Dawkins would then add on another nine saves in a 3-0 shutout win against Salem State to open up conference action. She had an impressive .933 save percentage, allowing just the two goals while racking up 28 saves in two games. 

The Fitchburg State women's soccer team (2-4, 1-0 MASCAC) returns to action Tuesday the 19th at 4 PM against non-conference opponent Roger Williams on Elliot Field.
