Kennedy and Dawkins Earn Weekly Honors From MASCAC
FITCHBURG, MA: Fitchburg State Freshmen Noelle Kennedy (Walpole, MA) and Madison Dawkins (Haverhill, MA) both earned weekly honors from the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC).
Kennedy was named the MASCAC's Offensive Player of the Week by notching one goal, including her first collegiate tally with the game winning score for the Falcons in a 2-1 triumph over Rivier University on Friday afternoon.
Dawkins earned both Defensive Player and Rookie of the Week through the MASCAC after posting 23 saves with a .885 save percentage and a 1.50 goals against average in a 1-1 week for the Falcons. She stopped ten shots in a 2-1 triumph over Rivier on Friday to collect her first collegiate victory before making 13 saves in a 2-0 setback to Brandeis University on Sunday.
Fitchburg State women's soccer will be back in action on Wednesday the 6th, at 7:00 PM when they travel to Eastern Connecticut State for a non-conference matchup.
