Camara Tabbed MASCAC WITK Field Athlete Of The Week

Lowell, MA. native collects third weekly accolade of the season 

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior Makany Camara (Lowell, MA) was recently tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Indoor Track Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

Camara notched her third weekly accolade of the 2026 season after placing third overall in the high jump with an All-New England qualifying mark of 1.65 meters before finishing seventh in the 60 meter hurdles with an All-NE qualifying time of 8.98 seconds for the Green and Gold at the 2026 Coast Guard Golden Bear Invite on Friday.

The Fitchburg State Women's Indoor Track team returns to action on Sunday as they compete at the 2026 MASCAC Indoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Wheaton College.
