Randy Wolcott, Ice Hockey
Junior Randy Wolcott (East Haven, Conn./Wisconsin-Stevens Point) collects his first Soaring Falcon honor of the season after guiding the Fitchburg State ice hockey team to an 0-1-1 week.
Wolcott, the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Goalie of the Week, registered 49 saves on the week, including a 29 save performance in Fitchburg State's 2-2 overtime draw with Wentworth in the opening round of the 2012 IC Federal Credit Union Shootout on Friday evening before stopping 20 shots in the Falcons 4-3 setback to Becker College in second round action of the ICFCU shootout on Saturday.
The Fitchburg State ice hockey team will be back in action on Tuesday at it visits New England College for a contest starting at 7 p.m.
