Amy Fahey, Women's Basketball
Junior Amy Fahey (Wilmington, Mass./Wilmington) collects her first Soaring Falcon honor of the season after leading the Fitchburg State women's basketball team to a 1-1 week.
Fahey led the Falcons offense, registering 48 points with 16 rebounds, six assists and eight steals, while shooting 74% from the field. The junior forward notched a game-high 21 points on 10-of-13 shooting with six boards, five steals and four assists in Fitchburg State's 89-57 victory over Johnson State in first round action of the 2012-13 Curry College Tipoff on Friday evening before recording 27 points, 10 caroms, two dishes and three steals in the Falcons 69-56 setback to Curry College in the championship game on Saturday.
The Fitchburg State women's basketball team will be back in action on Tuesday at it opens its 2012-13 home slate against UMass Boston at 5:30 p.m.
