Fitchburg, MA. – The Fitchburg State field hockey team earned a 1-0 victory over the Vikings of Salem State University this morning in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action from Elliot Field.

How It Happened
Fitchburg State opened the scoring 13:08 into the first quarter as sophomore Samantha Jones (Uxbridge, MA) settled a feed from senior Sophia Yates (Woodstock, VT) and deposited a shot into the left side of the cage for her fourth score on the season for the 1-0 edge as the score held up for remainder of the contest.
