O'Brien nets lone goal for Green & Gold
Fitchburg, MA. – The Fitchburg State field hockey team dropped a 2-1 overtime decision to the sixth seeded Rams of Framingham State this evening in quarterfinal round action of the 2025 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) field hockey post season tournament from Elliot Field.

How It Happened
Framingham State opened the scoring 44 seconds into the first period as sophomore Finley Hogan (Auburn, NA) settled a corner off the stick of classmate Allie Wurms (Shelton, CT) and fired a shot into the right side of the cage for her 11th goal of the season for the 1-0 edge.
Fitchburg State knotted the score at 1-1 in the 19th minute of action when sophomore Kendall O'Brien (Townsend, MA) blasted a shot into the lower right corner for her seventh score of the 2025-26 campaign.
Following a scoreless second half, the Rams secured the victory at the 69:00 minute mark as Hogan fired a shot into the back of the cage for her second tally of the contest, resulting in the 2-1 final.
