MASCAC Ice Hockey All-Conference Teams Announced
Five Falcons collect conference accolades
Fitchburg, Mass. – Five members of the Fitchburg State Men's Ice Hockey team were selected to 2025-26 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) All-Conference teams.
Graduate student Christian Halbig (Queenstown, MD) led all honors after being named MASCAC MIH Defensive Player of the Year as well earning MASCAC All-Conference First-Team Honors. Joining Halbig on the All-Conference First Team was junior Hunter Dunn (Douglas, MA).
Freshman Devin Niles (Hatfield, MA) earned MASCAC Rookie of the Year honors in addition to being selected to MASCAC All-Conference Second Team. Joining Devin on the All-Conference second team were junior Frederick Soderberg (Harrison Township, MI) and newcomer Aleksei Filimonov (Saint Petersburg, Russia).
The Fitchburg State ice hockey team recently concluded their 2025-26 campaign with an overall record of 17-9 and a 10-4 clip within conference play.
