How It Happened.

The Falcons' offense struggled to find its rhythm, trailing 21-4 after the opening ten minutes. Monet Augmon provided the first spark for the Green and Gold, fighting through contact for a hard-earned layup in the first frame. Fitchburg State showed renewed energy coming out of the locker room. Alexis DeSimone led the charge for the Falcons, finding her stroke from the perimeter with a three-pointer and attacking the rim for several tough finishes in the paint.

Kyelah Smith was a physical presence for Fitchburg State throughout the afternoon, consistently drawing contact and converting seven free throws to keep the scoreboard moving. In the frontcourt, Malaica Guillaume battled on the glass, pacing the team with several offensive rebounds to create second-chance opportunities.

Bench contributions from Erin McNamara, who knocked down a late triple, and Madison Dawkins provided late energy for the squad.
