Mike Ingram-Rubin, Men's Basketball
Junior Mike Ingram-Rubin (Boston, Mass./Bedford) collects his frst Soaring Falcon of the season after guiding the Fitchburg State Men's Basketball team to the 2012-13 New England College Tipoff Championship.
Ingram-Rubin paced the Falcons, with 43 points, 13 boards and nine assists, while shooting 68% from the field. The junior guard led all scores with 22 points on 7-of-12 shooting in the Falcons 80-74 victory over Eastern Nazarene College in the first round of the (NEC) Tipoff on Friday evening before adding 21 points, 7 caroms and six dishes in leading Fitchburg State to the championship, with a 108-98 win against SUNY Cobleskill on Saturday.
The Fitchburg State men's basketball team returns to action on Tuesday as it hosts UMass Boston in its home opener at 7:30 p.m.
