Zach Desrochers, Men's Indoor Track & Field
Senior Zach Derochers (Dracut, Mass./Greater Lowell Tech) collects his first Soaring Falcon honor of the season as the Fitchburg State Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field teams competed at the UMass Boston Invitational hosted by the University of Massachusetts Boston.
The senior thrower qualified for four post-season honor in the weight throw, posting MASCAC, DIII, All-NE and ECAC marks in the weight throw. The third year Falcon placed second overall with a toss of 17.03 meters, while also notching MASCAC honors in the shot-put with a toss of 12.58 meters.
The Fitchburg State men's and women's track and field teams will be back in action on Saturday at it travel to Harvard University for a meet starting at 11 a.m.
