Zach Valliere, Men's Basketball
Senior Zach Valliere (Douglas, Mass./Douglas) collects his first Soaring Falcon honor of the season after being named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Co-Player Of The Week as announced by the league office Monday morning.
The third year Falcon averaged a double-double (16.0 ppg, 16.0 rpg) in a 1-1 week for the Falcons. Valliere posted a team-high 22 points to go along with 17 rebounds and five block in Fitchburg State's 86-80 victory over Mount Ida College on Tuesday evening before totaling ten points, 15 caroms and one block in the Falcons 78-75 setback to WPI on Saturday afternoon.
The Fitchburg State men's basketball team returns to action on Wednesday as it hosts the Eagles of Daniel Webster College at 7 p.m.
