Ryan Wysocki, Ice Hockey
Sophomore Ryan Wysocki (Grand Rapids, Mich./Toledo Cherokee) collects his first Soaring Falcon honor of the season after being named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Goalie Of The Week as announced by the league office Monday morning.
The second year Falcon registered 72 saves with a 0.935 save percentage and a 2.55 goals against average during the 48th annaul Codfish Bowl this weekend hosted by UMass Boston. Wysocki made 30 saves in Fitchburg State's 4-1 loss to Johnson and Wales University on Saturday before turning away a season best 42 shots in the Falcons 2-1 setback to Wentworth Institute of Technology on Sunday afternoon.
The Fitchburg State ice hockey team returns to action on Thursday as it travels to Framingham State University to take on the Rams at 7:20 p.m.
