Randy Wolcott, Ice Hockey
Junior Randy Wolcott (East Haven, Conn./Wisconsin-Stevens Point) collects his third Soaring Falcon honor of the season after being named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Goalie Of The Week as announced by the league office Sunday afternoon.
The junior net-minder totaled 91 saves with a 0.958 save percentage and a 2.00 goals against average in a 2-0 week for the Falcons. Wolcotti made 38 saves in Fitchburg State's 6-3 victory over Framingham State on Thursday evening, before turning away 53 of 54 shots in the Falcons 3-1 win against MASCAC rival Salem State on Satuday afternoon.
The Fitchburg State ice hockey team returns to action on Tuesday as it hosts the Lancers of Worcester State University for a contest starting at 7 p.m.
