Megan Wodzinski, Women's Basketball

Sophomore Megan Wodzinski (Littleton, Mass./Littleton) collects her first Soaring Falcon honor of the season after guiding the Fitchburg State women's basketball team to a 2-1 week.

The first year Falcon totaled 58 points, 24 rebounds and 11 assists on 23-of-50 shooting from the field. Wodzinski posted  11 points, four boards and two assists in Fitchburg State's 76-64 setback to Worcester State University before registering a  career best 30 points on 12-of-21 shooting, while adding 13 caroms and four dishes in the Falcons 85-73 victory over Salem State University on Thursday evening. The sophomore forward wrapped up her week with a 17 point, seven board, five assist effort in Fitchburg State's 74-54 victory against MASCAC rival MCLA on Saturday afternoon.

The Fitchburg State women's basketball team returns to action on Saturday as they travel to Bridgewater State University to take on the Bears for a contest starting at 1 p.m.
