Rebecca McClure, Women's Indoor Track & Field
Sophomore Rebecca McClure (Lyndeborough, N.H./Wilton-Lyndeborough) collects her first Soaring Falcon honor of the season as the Fitchburg State Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field team competed at the 2013 Co-Ed Invite hosted by MIT over the weekend.
The sophomore pole vaulter qualified for a pair of post-season honors in the pole vault, posting a MASCAC and DIII qualifying vault of 3.05 meter (7th), which set a new school record in the process. McClure also ran the anchor leg for the women's 4x400 relay team, guiding them to a second place finish with a time of 4:28.08.
The Fitchburg State men's and women's track and field teams return to action on Saturday as they travel to Tufts University to compete in the 2013 Tufts Stampede starting at 11 a.m.
